Bench press world records

The bench press is one of powerlifting's three competition lifts, and it holds the heaviest single barbell lift ever recorded: Jimmy Kolb (United States) pressed an equipped 635.4 kg in 2023. The raw bench summit belongs to Danial Zamani (Iran), who hit 365 kg in 2022 to become the first human to bench 800 lb raw, just ahead of Julius Maddox's 355 kg from 2021. On the women's side, April Mathis (United States) owns the all-time raw record at 207.5 kg (2016).
